This music tutorial shows you how to transpose from concert pitch using Musescore. I touch on how to write for transposing instruments primarily the alto and tenor saxophone.

Hilary Burt is a composer, producer and teacher and is based in Worthing in the UK. Her YouTube tutorials are known for their succinct and very clear instructions so you have time to do the important work of composing rather than sifting through long winded videos!

She is a Sussex based piano, sax and flute player; composer and producer. Her music is on all major platforms including Spotify and many of her songs are with boutique sync licensing agencies and music libraries in the US and UK.

Hilary also works with children who have dyslexic type difficulties and before that she was a primary school teacher in the London boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets. She has been a teacher since 1986 helping and inspiring generations of children.
