The finale is finally (too many "final"s?) here. Part 4 of the Hexagon Series of DIY Wood Pencil Holders. An unintentional ASMR Epoxy Resin Woodworking project.
This was brutal. Taking at least 5 different attempts until I finally stopped trying to reinvent the wheel and created a melamine mold to cast the resin pieces. After that, it was as simple as my other hexagon pencil holder videos. If you haven't seen those, links below.
After polishing the inside of the holder, when I glued it up, the CA glue ran leaving streaks inside the holder. Try as hard as I might, I couldn't get the epoxy to polish and appear clear....until I sprayed the whole thing with glossy enamel. So, possible tip: if you epoxy is looking cloudy, try giving it a coat or two of clear glossy enamel paint!
