Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has ordered the formation of a corporation for the all-round development of the politically influential Veerashaiva Lingayat community in the state. The day after the formation, the minister and a group of BJP MLAs called Yeddyurappa from the community under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi, who was demanding the establishment of the corporation.
