Das Endovascular Aneurysm Sealing (EVAS) ist ein innovatives Konzept zur endovaskulären Behandlung des Bauchaortenaneurysmas (BAA). Diese Methode wurde bereits von Dr. Marwan Youssef (Leiter der Endovaskulären Chirurgie) in die Klinik für Herz-Thorax-und Gefäßchirurgie der Universitätsmedizin –Mainz in 2013 eingeführt und seitdem wurden Hunderte von BAA-Patienten erfolgreich damit versorgt. In diesem Film werden die Schritte der EVAS-Operation als routinemäßige Prozedur zur endovaskulären Behandlung vom infrarenalen Bauchaortenaneurysma unter lokaler Anästhesie dargestellt.

The Endovascular Aneurysm Sealing (EVAS) represents an innovative concept in the endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). This intriguing Method has been introduced by Dr. Marwan Youssef (head of the endovascular surgery) in the department of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, university of Mainz since 2013. Afterwards, hundreds of patients were successfully treated using this system. This film demonstrates the EVAS operation’s steps as routine procedure to treat infrarenal aortic aneurysm under local anesthesia.
