నీళ్ళు
నెయ్యి - 1 టేబుల్స్పూన్
మినప్పప్పు - 1 టీస్పూన్
ఆవాలు - 1 టీస్పూన్
జీలకర్ర - 1 టీస్పూన్
దంచిన వెల్లుల్లి రెబ్బలు
ఎండుమిరపకాయలు
కరివేపాకులు
ఇంగువ
కొత్తిమీర

తయారుచేసే విధానం:

కందిపప్పుని అరగంటసేపు నీళ్ళలో నానపెట్టిన తరువాత కుక్కర్లో వేయాలి

ఇందులో తరిగిన సొరకాయ, ఉల్లిపాయ, టొమాటో, పచ్చిమిరపకాయలు, చింతపండు, కల్లుప్పు, పసుపు, కారం వేసి బాగా కలిపిన తరువాత సరిపడా నీళ్ళు పోసి మూత పెట్టాలి

కుక్కర్కు ఒక మూత పెట్టి, పొయ్యిని మీడియం ఫ్లేములో ఉంచి, పప్పును నాలుగు విజిల్స్ వచ్చేంత వరకూ ఉడికించాలి

ఆ తరువాత మూత తెరిచి, పప్పుని కాస్త మెదిపి పెట్టుకోవాలి

పప్పుకి తాలింపు కోసం ఒక తాలింపు గిన్నెలో నెయ్యి వేసి, అందులో మినప్పప్పు, ఆవాలు, జీలకర్ర వేసి వేయించిన తరువాత ఎండుమిరపకాయలు, దంచిన వెల్లుల్లి రెబ్బలు, కరివేపాకులు, ఇంగువ వేసి వేయించాలి

తాలింపును పప్పులో వేసి కలపాలి, అంతే, ఎంతో రుచిగా ఉండే సొరకాయ పప్పు తయారైనట్టే, దీన్ని వేడివేడి అన్నంలో కలుపుకుని తింటే ఎంతో రుచిగా ఉంటుంది

Sorakaya Pappu is a one pot side-dish made mainly with toor dal and bottle gourd. We call this a one pot dish because we put all the required ingredients in a pressure cooker, pour water and cook. Later, we just add tempering to it. So it is pretty quick and easy to make. Sorakaya pappu makes a great lunchbox recipe and it also is good for health because bottle gourd has a wonderful nutritional profile. You can enjoy this pappu as it is or you can also serve it with accompaniments like papad, fryums or any fry by the side if you like.
