They're not really aliens but bug eggs and larvae.
I have collected these eggs of the Bronze Orange bug Musgraveia sulciventris, a major pest of Citrus trees in Australia.
At the end of Summer the eggs are found in clutches under the leaves of lemon and lime trees, orange trees, finger lime trees and mandarin trees.
I placed two clutches in my new insect time-lapse setup to record them hatching over 5 hours.
