Vampyr is an action-adventure game played from third-person perspective which includes RPG elements like skills and levelling. You gain XP from world activities as well as embracing people which kills them in the process. Though embracing citizens gives you a massive XP boost and lets you level up easily, there will be consequences. The game also has a simple crafting system which lets you craft serums that will help you during the combat along with a simple weapon upgrade system.

Vampyr takes place in London of 1918. You play Dr. Jonathan Reid, a famous surgeon and a newborn Ekon. As a doctor, you work to find a cure for moribund citizens from Spanish flu. But as a Vampyr, you have an even more important duty like ending rage of blood hate. Is this a curse or a gift? You can put an end to the hunger never fed or release the monster in you and embrace anyone you wish. Either way, you will be the one to decide the fate of London.
