Canning peaches is a great way to preserve them in a shelf-stable way. Learn how with this video! Canned peaches do not take up valuable freezer space and can be used in many recipes that call for fresh peaches. However, canning does require the application of a decent amount of heat which can change the peaches' consistency and can result in the loss of some heat sensitive nutrients. For this reason, I prefer dehydrating to preserve the bulk of my peaches. However, I like to have a couple jars of peaches on hand for recipes or deserts in the winter.
