How to catch squid New Zealand. Egiing for squid NZ off the rocks. Michael Walkley shows some EGI techniques and tips as we have an epic land based squid session throughout the night.

Land based squid NZ, with the squid moving in over winter we decided to brave the cold weather and fish for some local squid. using yamashita 2, 2.5 and 3.5 squid jigs we managed a dozen in this session. Squid are found all up the New Zealand coast line. Any where with some weed and low current is worth a try. And with the right gear and technique you can find a nice feed even in the centre of the city. NZ squid fishing.
