If you're a shred guitarist, this is the most important video you'll ever watch!
I'm going to show you how to construct your guitar solos, breaking it down into 5 phases. This is going to help you get away from shredding every single note and write your solos in a way that they tell a story!
The problem with shredding is that we can get caught in that trap of trying to play as many notes as possible. That's awesome to see someone do that, but it's not so pleasant to listen to.
In fact, there are several famous guitarists, which will go unnamed, that I can't listen to for too long, for that reason.
Think of your guitar solo as a movie. You can an intro where you're introducing the characters. Then you begin to expand and branch out into the story.
Of course, you'll get to the climax, which is where you shred, and I mean shred all-out. But you want your solo to build up to that point.
You also want those melodies in there, which will take your listeners on a journey!
And you want a powerful ending.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. And please give this a video a THUMBS-UP and share it!
Keep it Metal,
