Leo is a 16 week old juvenile Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who managed to get himself stuck in a light well of an apartment block.
He was there for between 5-7 days. The tenant moved out a week ago and the agent noticed him hanging there 5 days ago, thinking he'd fly out by himself. When he was still there the day before the new tenants moved in, she called for rescue.
He has been a little sooky for a few days and wouldn't get out of his sling to hang, so today he got hand fed and sent to a carer with other juveniles, where he is hanging perfectly well now with the others.
I love their nom noms face, and how they can eat with their tongue poking out the tip of their mouth. I don't know how this works, because I tried it out for myself and it wasn't the faintest bit cute, and I dribbled everywhere.
This is a message to little Leo S, who likes to hang upside down like a fruit batty, and who thinks the video of Leo chewing grapes is funny.
Leo Bat would like to tell Leo S that he loves to hang upside down but he also quite liked lying in the human sling bed while he was feeling unwell but he's better now and is hanging like a proper batty.
