Ah, once again a blissfully dark version of Alice in Wonderland to quench my soul after several painful adaptations in a row. Jan Švankmajer’s Alice is a deeply disturbing live action/stop motion masterpiece that is scarier than most horror films, yet has no blood, gore, or bad language. And it manages to be a surprisingly faithful adaptation at the same time!
