The cost of a fill up has gotten a whole lot cheaper across the country over the last two weeks. According to the Lundberg Survey -- the average price of a gallon of regular has dropped a full 35 cents to 3.31 a gallon.
For many drivers already reeling from the shaky economy -- the dip in gas prices comes as a much needed relief.
DRIVER: To be able to save a little at the pump is definitely a savings grace.
The lower costs reflect one positive coming out of the turbulence on Wall Street -- falling oil prices. The cost of a barrel is now hovering around $80. That's about 45% lower than it was about three months ago and analysts predict crude prices could drop even further.
