When you don't upgrade weapons you miss out on the stats the upgrade gives but more importantly you lose out on skills. That means my Axe and Blades only have level one skills. The Spear starts at level 5 when you get it so I only have the level 5 skills for it. Since I'm using only the starter gear I'm using the Survival set and the Guardian Shield which is level 4 when you get it back from the Dwarfs.

This fight is rather easy if you have experience fighting Valkyries. Hrist & Mist get their fighting style and moves from the Valkyries in the 2018 game and from Valkyries Vanadis/Freya and Gna from this game. They only have a few unique moves. The only real difficulty I had with this fight was trying to get it done in one segment.

In this fight I used all 9 Burdens and all the starter gear. I did this fight again with all 9 Burdens and all the Spartan gear including the Aspis shield. I think I am going to do that for most fights. You can go a lot harder with the starter gear because of the Guardian shield being a easier to use shield.
