Anson Primary School contacted the people behind the video 'Dumb Ways To Die' and asked if they could use the backing track and concept to write a parody for an e-safety campaign in the school. The result sees Olivia, Leah and Maya sing an important message which will help us all to 'Stay Safe Online'
Lyrics:
Don't agree to spam,
In a chat room turn off webcams,
Send messages that are polite,
Keep your private stuff from the Internet.
Refrain
Stay safe online,
You've got to stay safe online,
Stay safe online,
You've got to stay safe online.
Use a nickname when you chat,
Keep your information safe,
Block people you don't know,
And don't meet up with a guy you met online.
Refrain
Keep your mobile number safe,
Trust an adult if you're scared,
And don't respond to a bully please,
But save the message you receive.
Refrain
Click on attachments that you trust,
Use a firewall on the Internet,
And log off, before you go,
I wonder, am I a winner too?
Refrain
So keep safe online when web exploring.
Don't arrange to meet a strangers we're imploring.
Click on emails that you trust in your inbox.
Check your facts on more than one reliable website.
Tell someone you trust if there's an issue.
They may not rhyme but they're quite possibly,
The smartest thing to do
The smartest thing to do
The smartest thing to do
You've got to stay
You've got to stay safe online.
