Fertimed has been founded in 1992 by Prof., M.D., Ales Sobek, Ph.D. who has managed to bring together an internationally renowned medical team, with experience in fertility treatments and procedures. Fertimed has been created to cater the needs of the patients, by offering modern facilities, high quality medical care and by maintaining a high level of efficiency. In 1997, Fertimed was awarded the Czech Ministry of Health Research Project Award by the national government, as a proof of the clinic's success and professionalism. This was the first time when a private gynaecological centre received this award.

Fertimed has all the necessary equipment for a successful fertility treatment: infertility diagnostic equipment, an embryology laboratory, a full-scale surgery room and comfortable consultation and treatment rooms. Fertimed currently operates two fertility centers located in Olomouc and Ostrava.
