The objective of this video is to briefly introduce CAN-FD protocol and to demo how we use the STM32 FDCAN peripheral to self-test the CAN-FD without external hardware (i.e. CAN FD transceiver). Loopback self-test mode can be helpful in performing sanity test or for debugging CAN related network issues. We will use STM32CubeIDE to develop our code and then we will test it on a Nucleo board.
