Hello, sweet soul! Today, I have an updated, classically simple scarf or shawl (it could even be a blanket!) that you can wear while strolling through misty woods, along magical streams, and across secret meadows. In this video, I'll show you how to cast on, work Rows 1-3, change colors, and apply the optional fringe.

The updated version of Secret Meadow is made with our scrumptious Restore DK yarn. When our mill spins up luxury yarns, there are often leftover fibers. So we asked them to gather their fiber tidbits and spin them into this Limited Edition, upcycled yarn base, so nothing goes to waste. Restore DK has gorgeous drape from the alpaca fiber, stability due to the wool, and a subtle glow thanks to the Viscose. This yarn is a blend of 36% Alpaca, 37% Wool, and 27% Viscose with 219 yds/200 m per skein.

Our Restore DK yarn is Limited Edition, so be sure to order all you need for your project because when it’s gone, it’s gone!
The updated version of Secret Meadow is shown here made with colors: A) Artistry, B) Elevate, C) Evolve, D) Clever, E) Enhance, and F) Ingenuity. You’ll need one skein each of these six colors, or any six colors of your choice. Because all of the Restore DK colors coordinate, you can easily substitute one or more colors, as needed.
The original version of Secret Meadow was made with Resilient Sock yarn in color Pear and produced a wider shawl-like accessory. The updated version of this pattern contains both the original instructions, as well as the newer, multicolored scarf version. Choose whichever version you love the most, or make one of each!
