The January 6 attack on the Capitol renewed attention on the threat posed by domestic terrorists. New research by CSIS shows that terrorist plots and attacks in the United States are at their highest level in decades, and that U.S. military and law enforcement personnel are increasingly involved in a growing number of these domestic terrorist incidents. This is occurring at a time when the U.S. government, military, and law enforcement are also frequently the targets of domestic terrorist attacks. Matthew Funaiole hosts Seth Jones, senior vice president and director of the International Security Program at CSIS, to discuss what the U.S. should do to combat domestic terrorism.
