Today, Annie shares how to make one of our favorite healthy desserts: our sugar free, gluten free almond cake! This delicious recipe is a great healthy alternative for a sweet treat, and uses pure maple syrup as the primary sweetener. Here's the recipe:
3/4 cup softened salted butter
1 cup pure maple syrup
4 eggs
1/2 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups fine almond flour
1/2 cup organic coconut flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
*Add all ingredients to a stand mixer and combine well. Grease a 9x13 pan and add your batter. Spread batter out evenly. Bake at 350° f for 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Enjoy!
Berry Sauce
3-4 cups frozen mixed berries
1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
3-4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
*Add to a pot and reduce on low/medium heat.
