How to Sync and Route Audio from Ableton Live 11 to Traktor Pro 3 Tutorial
Install soundflower
Old Way of syncing ableton live and traktor.
1.) Go to traktor prefrences and click on external sync.
2.) Check enable midi clock.
3.) Next go to controller manager and click add.
4.) Select generic MIDI and under out-port dropdown select traktor virtual output.
5.) Close prefrences and next to BPM click this little triangle to turn on something.
6.) Open ableton live and go to prefrences.
7.) Under Link Temp MIDI tab check the sync box next to traktor virtual output and input.
8.) Exit prefrences click on Ext button.
After that setup
1.) Go to traktor click link button.
2.) Go into ableton click link button.
Routing audio from Live into Traktor
1.) On mac, Go to utilities and open Audio MIDI Setup.
2.) Click + button and add Aggregate Device.
3.) Select Soundflower and your output audio device. (example: soundcard)
4.) Go into Live and open prefrences.
5.) Under audio tab, select Auto Output Device as Soundflower; click Output config and enable outputs.
6.) Close prefrences, create new audio track. Under Audio To select Ext. Out followed by desired output channels. Under Monitor Select In.
For MIDI device: Create new midi track. Set Audio To to audio track in step 6.
7.) Go into traktor and open prefrences.
8.) In Audio Setup Tab, Next to Audio Device Select device created in steps 1-3.
9.) In Input Routing tab, select soundflower outputs setup in Live. (Step 6)
10.) In Output Routing tab, under Output Master select outputs from output audio device (example: soundcard) in step 3.
