After Don McClean's hit, "American Pie", the event has since been popularly named, "The Day the Music Died." In just one day, three of the most influential rock and roll performers of the time were taken away too early. Buddy Holly (22), Ritchie Valens (17), J.P. Richardson, known professionally as "The Big Bopper" (28), and the pilot, Roger Peterson (21), were killed in a plane crash on February 3rd, 1959. With no witnesses and no survivors, no one currently knows what exactly caused the crash. By compiling evidence, many theories have been inferred about what happened that fateful night. And for the deaf people, I HAVE CLOSED CAPTIONS!!!
