In this video we look at the Cedar Run & Whiteoak Canyon loop hike in Shenandoah National Park. The Park Services lists it as 8.1 mi ( ~13 km). AllTrails calls it 9 mi (14.4 km). Both consider it very strenuous/hard. The trail features 6 waterfalls ranging from 30 to 85 ft ( ~9-26 m) on the Whiteoak Canyon portion, plus some smaller falls on the Cedar Run segment. The trail as I did it starts at the Cedar Run Trailhead at Hawksbill Gap (mile 45.6 of Skyline Drive). This is located partway between Big Meadows and Skyland. It's also possible to start the hike from the lower end, outside SNP (far drive from other trailhead in park).
This is one of several hikes I did while in SNP so check out my channel for the others. There is a playlist of them. [ Ссылка ]
