I recently went to Kyoto to make a documentary. Spent a total of 48 hours there speaking to the local Japanese people to get their feelings on how empty it was. We arrived right after a long weekend, and right before the fall travel rush, and happened to capture Kyoto in a way I have never seen. This, is that story.
