The refrain from Suzi Wu's most infectious song to date paints a vivid image, and the punk rock snarl that the UK upstart brings to it in our exclusive live performance underscores her persona as someone who likes to mess with the norm. Wu, who's real name is Suzie McDermott (the fam nicknamed her Woozy Wu growing up), likes to dodge the middle of the road. Through two EPs, 'Teenage Witch' and 'Error 404,' she done so with enough pananche to be totally memorable. She has a way with words. Check “I got a pharaoh’s tongue/ use it on the mummified young," from "Taken Care Of," but perhaps more important is the way she acts out her lyrics.
