For being a wildly famous and super cute song for children, this song is pretty freaking difficult, and made to trick whoever is actually playing it. It's like a maze, where a wrong turn will result in you getting eaten. Randy Newman has some weird ideas and a LOT of them are here, largely unnoticeable until you’re seeing the sheet music (e.g. the bridge going from Ab to D7, then back to Eb; also all those ascending and descending bass lines, all in the same phrase, like, what the hell, Randy).
