Haydn wrote over 50 piano sonatas during his life, but only 7 of them are in minor keys, written towards the end of his life. The e minor Sonata was written for either the harpsichord or fortepiano, and the beginning movement is set at Presto, which is very odd for Haydn.
The melody flies up and down in the Exposition, but has a lot of rests and stops, as if Haydn is joking (as he does) and giving the audience a roller coaster ride. I did my best to make the piece both Presto and joking.
I apologize about the microphone noise, I am still experimenting with how to reduce the gain and also getting a filtering program for white noise.
