WWE announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have released current Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. As noted, Amore is being investigated by Arizona police for allegedly raping a woman last year inside a hotel room.
The Phoenix Police Department has confirmed that a report was filed and the incident is currently under investigation. The sports entertainment company issued the following statement:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore).”
