A little ode to Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, to which the folk-rock sound can be accredited. Here’s my favorite Byrds riffs on a Rickenbacker 360/12 through a JangleBox into a Vox AC15 recorded with a Shure SM57. The guitar is equipped with roundwound strings, and I’m picking with a thin Dunlop pick (0.60mm nylon).
Songs:
“Mr. Tambourine Man”
“Turn! Turn! Turn!"
“All I Really Want to Do"
“The Times They Are A-Changin'"
“It Won't Be Wrong"
“I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better"
“You Won’t Have to Cry”
“It’s No Use”
“She Don’t Care About Time”
“You Showed Me”
“Eight Miles High” (My attempt, at least!)
“The Bells of Rhymney"
“Chimes of Freedom”
“So You Want To Be a Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”
“My Back Pages”
“Have You Seen Her Face"
