"Sesame Street" has been synonymous with public television since its 1969 debut. But now, HBO (which is owned by HLN's parent company Time Warner) has inked a five-year deal to broadcast first-run episodes exclusively for the first nine months of each season, before sharing the shows with PBS. Several people criticized the agreement -- one tweet called it "privatizing a national treasure."
