In this video I'm teaching you how to no-comply 180 from your point of view. This video will teach you how to no-comply 180 in no time!
The no-comply 180 is just as the boneless kinda special because you’re putting your foot on the ground for this trick. In general people are really good at ‘em and it’s funny cause I wasn’t. I got suggestions to do this trick but I just kinda sucked at ‘em. So I first thought I just suck at no complies but then I remembered that I always tell you guys that you can learn any trick if you just practice enough and have patience. So that’s what I did and now I’m able to do ‘em and that’s how this tutorial was made. I do strongly believe that everyone has talent for certain tricks which wasn’t the case for my no-comply 180’s, AT ALL…
So what trick do you need for the no-comply 180? Well I think you should learn this trick after you got yourself some proper other flatground tricks down. But what you really really need to be able to do in order to this one is an Ollie and a frontside 180. For both of these tricks I got tutorials aswell.
Now let’s get in to the foot-positioning. Put your front foot on the front bolts in a way that you can easily take it off and plant it on the ground next to your board. To do this, you wanna place your foot with a little bit of an angle and place it a little backwards in a way that your heel is on the side of your board. Just place it like I’m doing right here.
Your backfoot is also gonna be in a little bit of an angled position but ofcourse you wanna place that one on your tail. Place it also a little bit backwards so you can easily get that scooping motion.
Now let’s take a look at the movement. First I wanna say that the speed determines a lot of the difficulty of this trick, just go slow at first and go fast once you really got these on lock.
let’s really get into it.
Step 1: Plant your foot and scoop. You wanna place your foot on the ground and scoop your board so it makes a frontside 180 movement. Just before you place your foot on the ground you wanna jump a little bit so your board doesn’t pop right away when your front foot leaves the board.
Step 2: Staying in control over your board. You wanna make sure that your backfoot stays in contact with your board throughout the whole movement so it doesn’t flip over. Your backfoot does go in front of you but you do wanna keep your balance above your board to stay in control
Step 3: jump back on and land. In the middle of your board’s rotation you already want to jump back on. You don’t want to keep your front foot on the ground for too long cause otherwise you’ll lose your board in front of you. Really just a quick jump and keep your balance above your board!
So the most common mistake with this trick is losing your board in front of you and not being able to jump back on properly. If this is familiar problem for you, try to jump quicker, don’t keep your foot on the ground for too long. Stay above your board more and keep your board closer to you as well. What also might help you is to go a bit slower, but that counts for most tricks. Don’t learn tricks standing still though
Another common mistake is your board doing a flip and you’ll end up landing on primo or sideways. To fix this keep your backfoot more in contact with your board throughout the whole movement
