EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME: PANORAMIC HELICOPTER FLIGHT OVER THE IGUAZU FALLS

Only a 10-minute helicopter ride but the aerial view of Iguazu Falls is spectacular. Board a safe, state-of-the-art helicopter flown by an experienced pilot in Foz do Iguaçu. Soar above the magnificent falls to get a bird's-eye view of the rushing water and the surrounding rainforest. A once in a lifetime experience!

We bought 3 tickets for 2 persons to have the helicopter to ourselves. Otherwise you can have limited visibility at the back seats when seated in the middle. Places will be allocated by weight, so you don’t know where you will be seated (1 front seat, 2 window seats an 1-2 middle seat).

EPIC BOAT TOUR: GREAT ADVENTURE BY IGUAZUJUNGLE

Great Adventure combines in a single trip the very essence of Iguazu National Park: the jungle and the waterfalls. Enter the jungle by the Yacaratiá trail in trucks specially designed for this environment. Bilingual guides (Spanish and English) will introduce the place’s natural and cultural resources. This 5 kms long stretch ends at Puerto Macuco. There you board on the boats that shall be sailing in the Lower Iguazu River for as long as 6 kms, heading towards the waterfalls area, enjoying plentiful rapids.
Upon reaching the Tres Mosqueteros Fall, you are able to see the falls of both the Argentine and Brazilian sides crowned by the view of the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). Afterwards, the most exciting point comes when facing the incomparable San Martín waterfall, the second in dimension and the hugest any boat may face.

GREAT HIKES AROUND THE FALLS: ARGENTINIAN AND BRAZIL SIDE

The Iguazu Falls are split between Brazil and Argentina. There are as many as 275 falls to see from all different angles as possible. The border runs right through the middle of the Devil's Throat with 20% falling on the Brazilian side and an impressive 80% in Argentina. So the park is bigger at the Argentinian side so you need definitely more time at the Argentinian side. Catwalks are far longer in length than its Brazilian counterpart and this means you get right up to the majority of the network of waterfalls that make up the greater Iguazu Falls. Finally, the Argentina side does give you a taste of the most powerful component of Iguazu Falls - the Devil's Throat (La Garganta del Diablo), you'll get right up to the brink of the mighty torrent of water for a top-down view. At the Brazil you'll get distant panoramic views of the Argentina side and in addition to the panoramas, there are also closeup and direct views of the Devil's Throat thanks to a catwalk that goes right out to it. So obviously, it's worth seeing the falls from both sides. Clearly, they're different but beautiful and equally worthwhile.

Situated in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina.
We loved our stay at the Iguazu Jungle Lodge. We had a room in the newest building and they met our expectations: modern style, large balconies, spectacular views of the river. The room had a large modern bathroom. The buffet breakfast had everything you need. Would recommend! We enjoyed our stay in this hotel with helpful and kind staff.
Buses from Puerto Iguazu to Iguazu falls (Argentinian 30min or Brazil side 1h): 130 AR$ for a one-way ticket (Rio Uruguay).
