When the Leica SL2-S launched in December, we also announced the planned features of the camera’s first firmware update as a way of broadcasting our vision for a future-proof camera that is built to last and continues to evolve. Now with Firmware 2.0, the Leica SL2-S has many new improvements in overall functionality and performance for both stills and video. We will look at many of these features and show how photographers and hybrid video shooters benefit from them.
More recently, the SL-System also saw the release of a new essential lens in the lineup. Since the introduction of the original Leica SL in 2015, many customers have asked for a high-performance zoom lens with a fixed f/2.8 aperture as well as one that would be a bit smaller, so now there is the new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f2.8 ASPH. We will look at how this lens resolves, renders, feels, and what makes it an instant must-have for many Leica photographers old and new.
Hosted by Leica Product Specialist, Antonio Di Benedetto & Pro Imaging Specialist, John Kreidler.
