Help me understand why people spend 💰💰💰on beautiful new homes and then cheap out on shutters.

We have a neighborhood near us where the homes are close to $1 million and most of them have fake, vinyl shutters.

It baffles my mind that people spend so much on a gorgeous home only to skimp on shutters and miss out on next level curb appeal.

Am I alone here?
