Like so many anniversary tours these past two years, the celebration was a little delayed, but the only thing that really mattered was that it happened at all. I hadn’t managed to see The Jezabels before and I was determined not to miss this tour. They played their first album, “Prisoner”, in full and followed up with an encore of five songs selected from their earlier three EPs. A terrific set of songs which the band reproduced perfectly.
Prisoner (00:13)
Endless Summer (04:35)
Trycolour (08:48)
City Girl (13:59)
Piece of Mind (19:06)
Reprise (23:22)
Catch Me (24:04)
A Little Piece (28:27)
Easy to Love (32:56)
Hurt Me (38:01)
This was one show I really wanted to see up close, even though I knew it wasn’t the best place to hear it from. My video reflects this, and of course, I’m disappointed with the sound quality. But I tell myself if I want perfect sound I can always play one of their CDs. It was a night for watching The Jezabels perform, and that’s what I think I’ve captured.
