There have been the deaths by the hands of policemen of Philando Castille, Alton Sterling, Freddie Gray, Mike Brown, and Eric Garner. This has started two movements. Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter. This has popped up in pop culture with the movies Straight Outta Compton, and now the new movie Detroit.
