Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday appointed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Akbarudin Owaisi as protem Speaker of the newly-elected Assembly. Controversial BJP MLA T Raja Singh, elected for the third time from the Goshamahal seat, has sparked a row in the Assembly. He announced that he would not take the oath on Saturday, protesting the appointment of AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi as the Protem Speaker.
