the Takanami-class warships are still considered the "trump card" of the Japanese Navy. This is a lightly modified second-generation multirole destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The Takanami class was built between 2000–2004 and consisted of five ships. The lead ship of the class, the Takanami DD-110, entered service in March 2003.
