For Kamahumble & AP (Church & AP), culture is expressed through song. Music is a conduit that joins communities in an effort to amplify voices. Case in point - ‘Heka Horcy’, their latest collaborative effort and newest single. As Polynesians enter a new age of unity, a new sound closely follows alongside it. ‘Heka Horcy’ is the sonic refreshment that quenches the thirst of pacific youth searching for something new and relatable. Utilising their bilingualism, both AP & Kamahumble playfully blend Tongan & Samoan language in their verses. This is complimented by an undeniable ‘pasifika bounce’ created through the use of sirens and ukulele. The end result is a colourful interpretation of two beloved cultures.
