Neonicotinoids, a class of insecticides, are under a lot of public criticism recently, being accused of being the main culprit causing bee population decline. However, a look into the science behind neonicotinoids and bees shows that the story isn't quite straightforward, and that there are several factors contributing to the decrease in bee populations. As concerned citizens, there are many things that we can do to encourage bee and other pollinator populations in our own backyards. Dr. Erfan Vafaie will present this topic.
