Playthrough of the old Sonic Utopia fangame by BlueFrenzy (not the recent 3D one by Mr. Lange, obviously). It only had two levels done and the hud is annoyingly oversized but it's fun anyway and had a bunch of intriging features that were never able to go anywhere.
For example:
-One item multiplies the value of single rings. You lose the effect upon death.
-You can collect the same lost rings only once, which also applied to his other fangame, Sonic Frenzy Adventure. I stole this quirk for Spikepig, too.
-Panic City has two routes that lead to different levels. "Midnight Building" isn't playable in this demo, sadly.
-Panic City has a triple barrier on the top-most path. One barrier is always open for some reason, but there's no way to open all of it and see what's on the other side.
-Toxic Sewers has a whole bottom path we can't enter because the water kills Sonic on contact.
-There's a Special Stage Ring hidden on Toxic Sewers. It does nothing.
-Beating the main bosses unlocks abilities for Sonic. I believe the game was meant to be a metroidvania.
