NEW Wuling Air EV in-depth Walkaround

The Wuling Air EV, produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), is a battery-electric city car that offers efficient urban mobility. It is powered by an AC permanent magnet synchronous motor, with two power output options available: 30 kW (40 hp; 41 PS) and 50 kW (67 hp; 68 PS). The vehicle is equipped with a lithium-iron-phosphate battery, providing either a 17.3 kWh or a larger 26.7 kWh capacity.

In terms of its electric range, the Wuling Air EV demonstrates versatility, capable of covering distances that range from 200 to 300 km (124-186 mi) on a single charge. The car supports plug-in charging, offering both standard and long-range options: 2.0 kW AC for the standard range and 6.6 kW AC for the long range.

Dimensionally, the Wuling Air EV comes in two variants based on wheelbase: the Short Wheelbase (SWB) with a wheelbase length of 1,635 mm (64.4 in), and the Long Wheelbase (LWB) with a longer 2,010 mm (79.1 in) wheelbase. Correspondingly, the length of the vehicle differs between the two versions: 2,599 mm (102.3 in) for SWB and 2,974 mm (117.1 in) for LWB. The car's width remains consistent at 1,505 mm (59.3 in), while its height stands at 1,631 mm (64.2 in).

Considering the weight, the curb weight of the Wuling Air EV varies between 760 and 888 kg (1,676–1,958 lb), contributing to its efficient electric performance and urban maneuverability.
