Ride through Donner Pass in January, experience "America's most scenic train experience" said Amtrak of their California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco. Very popular YouTube travel reviewer Jeb Brooks endorsed a trip on the Zephyr calling Amtrak "a national treasure".

I thought it sucked.
