Arts Access Victoria (AAV) presents ‘The Collective’ – an exhibition highlighting 50 years of disability justice through art. The Collective digs deep into the AAV archive, highlighting projects across the decades. Alongside new works by artists working with AAV today.
In 1974 Judy Morton formed the Arts Access Society – bringing art programs to people in institutions such as prisons, hospitals, and residential care. AAV has since become the leading advocate for Deaf and Disabled artists in Victoria.
The exhibition runs across three rooms in the Meat Market Stables. Each room is a place to gather, experience, and respond to AAV’s history and legacy.
Take a seat and delve into AAV’s incredible history.
Join us every Friday afternoon for panels, workshops and networking events. Each event focuses on the past, present, and future of AAV and arts and disability.
