Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday paid his respects to soldiers who died defending the country against Russia.
Zelenskyy laid flowers at a memorial dedicated to the soldiers.
Friday is Defenders Day in Ukraine, but celebrations are toned down because of the war.
