Shiraz city is one of the historical and cultural destinations with lots of UNESCO heritage sites from ancient Persia to the Islamic era. There are magnificent gardens, home to the graves of famous poets, beautiful exquisite mosques, and the land of ancient Persian civilization.
Hafez or Hafiz is one of the most famous poets of Iran, who was born in Shiraz in 726 AH and passed away 65 years later. The tomb of Hafiz also known as Hafizieh is located north of Shiraz and comprises two gardens. The tomb of Hafez is two memorial structures erected on the northern edge of Shiraz, Iran, in memory of the celebrated Persian poet Hafez. He is a beloved figure of the Iranian people, who learned his verses by heart, Hafez was prominent in his hometown and held a position as the court poet. In his memory, a small dome was constructed in Shiraz near his grave at Golgast e mohalla in 1452.
The Nasir al-Mulk Mosque also known as the Pink Mosque is a traditional mosque in Shiraz, Iran. It was built during the Qajar dynasty rule of Iran. The designers were Mohammad Hasan-e-Memār, a Persian architect who had also built the noted Eram Garden before the Nasir al-Molk Mosque.
Eram Garden is a historic Persian garden in Shiraz, Iran. It was one of the properties of the noble Shiraz Qavami Family.
Vakil Bazaar is one of the many ancient attractions of Shiraz that you would definitely enjoy visiting. Vakil Bazaar is one of the most charming bazaars of Iran made of an intersection with a domed arch and four bazaars perpendicular to each other. The bazaars of drapers, wholesalers, saddlers, and silk sellers make up the main sections of Vakil Bazaar.
Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It was the seat of the government Achaemenid Empire, though it was designed primarily to be a showplace and spectacular center for the receptions and festivals of the kings and their empire.
