In this episode I will give you a general overview of the layout of the motifs on the lid, and the minimal changes made to the original Forget Me Not pattern to make it fit the space of the box's lid. I will show you how to mirror partial motifs to get the full pattern, discuss mistakes to avoid, and outline the general placement of motifs and changes made.
The detailed layouts with counts between motifs, reference points, and labeled layout with key for the pattern page of each motif are on my website, see links below.
Please note: there is one change between the lid as stitched and my final recommendation. On the left side there are two motifs mirrored out. The bottom one was stitched 24 rows beyond the center line. When I fit it to the box the trim met that 24th stitch, but it was incredibly close. I revised the layout photos to reflect this but stitch 26 rows beyond the center line, not 24 as stated in this video.

Please note all images can be enlarged by clicking on them, and that the counts represent number of rows rather than threads. So 9 = 18 threads.
