The cup size difference is determined by the variation in breast tissue, not the size of your underband. The cup size varies depending on how much weight you've gained or lost.
Assume you have a 34c bra size. Your underband size will not change as you gain or lose weight, but your cup size will change. As a result, your size is either 34B or 34D.
