You could also use warm water and salt to rinse the mouth to keep the area clean . In case of acute pain and swellings, an ice pack in the involved areas towards the cheek , will help to numb that area. Also to keep a record of the pain and try to keep your oral cavity as clean as possible by using a mouth wash. In case of broken tooth, here are a few things that you can do. Cover the damaged edge or the rough surface with a piece of gum or gauze piece so that it doesn’t cut your cheeks, also you can go to the nearest pharmacy and take an over the counter medication in case of pain. In case you have bleeding you can apply pressure with gauze piece. This will help arrest the bleeding.
