Football player stands and walks to get diploma more than four years after he was paralyzed from the neck down with help from fiancee he got engaged to day before.

An Iowa man who was paralyzed in 2010 while playing college football got engaged on Saturday night and then took his inspiring weekend a step further by walking to get his diploma at graduation.

Chris Norton, 22, who was paralyzed in October 2010 while playing as a freshman for Division III Luther College against Central College, walked at the school's Decorah campus on Sunday.

When Norton, who was only given a three per cent chance 'to ever feel and move again' below his neck after being hurt, walked across the stage to get his diploma, he received a two-minute ovation.
